2013-14 TEAM TRYOUTS

 

Tryouts will be held at the UREC courts September 3rd and 4th starting at 7 PM!! We're confident we will build another strong team that will be competitive through the fall season and at sectionals and nationals in the spring!

 

​GROWING STRONGER EVERYDAY

 

The 2012 season has started off very well.  We have a strong team this year and are looking forward to where the team can go.  So far the team has competed at the Central Texas Regional, FSU Capital Challenge, and Houston Regional.  Every tournament LSU has come out strong and has had good runs.  The team continues to get stronger as we head towards Sectionals and Nationals!

​HONORS AND AWARDS

​

Our team has received many awards to start off the 2012 season.  LSU Tennis club was named the Tennis on Campus Club of the Year by the Louisiana Tennis Association earlier this year.  Current club president was also named 2012 USTA Tennis on Campus Leader of the Year.  The club was recently named 2012 USTA Southern Section Tennis on Campus Club of the Year! With this award, the team receives an automatic bid to the National Championships in Surprise, AZ!



CLUB PRACTICES

 

We have started practices for the season.  Practice is every Monday and Wednesday from 7-9 pm at the UREC courts for the competitive team players. The recreational team players practice Sunday afternoons at the UREC courts.  



2011-2012 RECAP



The LSU Club Tennis team had a remarkable year as we finished 4th at Southerns and finished in 36th place at Nationals! We competed in several other tournaments including the Florida State Capital Challenge, our very own annual Mardi Gras Invitational, and played in a dual match with Tulane. The future looks bright even though we're losing a few, but very key members as they graduate from LSU
